Economic answers set left to right. Rights, policing and personal-choice answers set liberty to order.
Party similarity also uses climate and constitutional scores, so it reflects more than a point on the two-axis grid.
Party reference points are editorial estimates from their 2024 manifestos, shown with links and methodological caveats.
METHODOLOGY
The result is a summary of these answers, not an objective definition of your politics and not a recommendation about how to vote.
Each five-point answer moves one or more value axes. Scores are divided by the maximum possible movement across the full questionnaire, producing a -100 to +100 result. Marking an issue important multiplies its effect by 1.6.
The similarity score uses the root-mean-square distance between your economic, freedom-and-order, climate and constitutional scores and each party reference profile. Grid proximity alone does not determine the result.
Reference profiles are Road to 326 editorial estimates from the 2024 general-election manifestos. They do not measure delivery, candidate quality, tactical voting or policy changes since the election.
Design influences. The two-axis map follows the familiar economic and social distinction used by Political Compass-style tools. Five response weights and normalised multi-axis scoring draw on the transparent approach used by 8values. Manifesto comparison follows the policy-first principle used by Vote for Policies.
Coverage. We compare Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat, Green, Reform UK, SNP and Plaid Cymru. SNP and Plaid are shown only in their nations unless you choose UK-wide. Northern Ireland has a distinct party system and is not yet modelled.
BEFORE YOU USE THE RESULT
What the party match means, which manifestos are covered and how your answers are handled.
It is a questionnaire that maps your answers across more than a single left-to-right scale. Road to 326 measures economic policy, freedom and order, climate, and constitutional reform before comparing the result with modelled party profiles.

The comparison includes Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat, Green, Reform UK, SNP and Plaid Cymru. Regional filtering removes parties that do not stand across your selected nation. Northern Ireland's distinct party system is not yet modelled.
Yes. Party reference profiles are Road to 326 editorial estimates based on the parties' 2024 general-election manifestos, with a direct link to each manifesto. They do not claim to measure delivery or every policy change since the election.
